Umake Cosmetics Preservative 12 50ml

Preservative 12 is a synergistic blend in Phenoxyethanol and Ethylhexylglycerin. It acts against all microorganisms and can therefore be used alone or in combination with other preservatives. Colorless liquid, it is stable to hydrolysis, temperature changes and extreme pH (up to pH=12). It is partially dissolved in water and non-polar solvents. On the contrary, it is completely soluble in organic solvents such as alcohol, esters, etc. Preservative 12 is compatible with anionic and non-ionic surfactants. However, it may have reduced efficacy when combined with ethoxylated surfactants. Suitable for all kinds of products, washable (shower gels, shampoos), non-washable (creams, lotions), even wipes. Preservative 12 should be incorporated at room temperature, at the end of the production process and with gentle stirring. Its maximum use limit is 1.1% in the final product but it is recommended from 0.5-1%.
